Respecting all Faiths…

If one does not know the details of another’s path, there is really no basis to judge them and deflect one’s attention away from the responsibility to follow one’s own path with integrity and fidelity for the sake of the community.

This goes with being humble and not standing on a street corner blaring one’s belief.  Christians have forgotten the passage to keep one’s faith quietly, thanks to George W., who used Christianity as a vehicle to get so much un-Jesus-like laws and wars into action.

Being Peace.

This is the Unitarian belief — that all paths are valid and there is no “right way” to God/Creator/Allah/Higher Power.  I think they allow atheists in, if they follow the Golden Rule, even if not believing in a Higher Power.

Faith is scary.  Sometimes you feel quite alone, in the dark, and lost.  It’s hard to keep the faith at those times when you’re in transition –waiting for guidance to show you the path…

For each “right” choice, you feel a sense of joy and gratitude, and for each selfish or thoughtless choice, you feel the pain of those you harmed.  When you finally reach the present moment, you can choose to walk the path toward light or darkness based on what you discovered about yourself.

Sustainable living in Los Angeles

I found another good video on a couple adopting a sustainable lifestyle:

It’s really interesting they came to the same conclusions that I have and see living sustainably as a challenge that gives them a thrill.  They meet new problems with a creative mindset.  I love that.

It’s all about how you view it, and whether you see it as a positive or a negative way of life.  I’ve really done a one-eighty in that regard.  And I’m in awe of others who have done the same.  I can’t help but smile that there is something spiritual at work here.

Gotta love the Mystery. 🙂

The DARK Act petition

The Koch Party is once again trying to do Monsanto, et al,’s bidding by preventing labeling of OUR food.

Here’s a petition to Congress to protest the DARK act.  Please sign if you’re so inclined.  ( Poet and don’t know it. 😛 )

Not only do we have the right to decide what goes into our bodies via vaccines, we also have the right to know what we are putting into it, via our food.

Personally, growing my own food is more attractive because I know for certain that it is grown without chemicals, with sustainability in mind, and with heirloom seeds, therefore no Genetically Modified Organisms…heck, it’s not even hybrid of the same vegetable/flower.  Hybrids have their place, I guess, but they hybridized the taste right out of the food along with the undesirable characteristics.   Cardboard tomatoes, anyone? Blech.

Four Acres and Independence

PeakMoment has a video up on a sustainable farmer that embraces diversity in farming:

Now, he uses plastics (barrels) on his farm, and I personally would not use plastic unless there were no other way.  He uses the barrels for the kitchen garden so he can move them if necessary, but I think putting a wood or other structure on wheels would serve that purpose.

He brings to mind the old farmers that I grew up around — making do with what you had instead of buying something.  I think his food dryer is pretty ingenious.  As I watched that segment,  I was thinking that we have lost so much of those basic skills of observing nature and learning from it and of what they used to refer to as common sense.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why he wanted to destroy the blackberries.  Blackberries!  A superfood!  (sigh)

In another video I was watching, a sustainable farm in Hawaii was using bunny poo for fertilizer.  However, the way they were going about it felt wrong to me.  They had the bunnies in a huge cage that they moved from place to place.  I just don’t believe in caging animals.  Besides, the bunnies would poo naturally all over the place (our yard is a testament to that) :), but they should have the freedom to move about.

I once read a webpage by a gal who had Native American ancestry, and she stated that they believed that animals had something of a contract with us — that in the days of hunting, an animal would show itself, allowing them to be hunted and the Indians to eat.  She made the correlation between today’s modern farm practices of caging cows, pigs, and whatever, and she said they were also volunteering for us to eat.  I was puzzled at that because it’s pretty hard for animals to “volunteer” when they are held captive.  I’m just saying that it’s not the same as in the days of hunters and gatherers.

And we are definitely less grateful and less respectful towards the animals than before.  As the farmer states in the video, he sees the lamb being born, he feeds it, and then he will butcher it, which he dislikes.  But he appreciates the sacrifice the animal has given.

The farmer also recognizes how much more connected he is to all that surrounds him.  It’s something I experienced, too, working on a farm.  It’s really hard to describe the feeling of Being.

The Benefits of contracting disease **edited

Well, I didn’t expect to find this, while researching vaccine safety and efficacy.  While it is obvious that contracting the natural disease is beneficial in that it gives one immunity to that particular disease, little did I know there were other diseases that can be stopped with contracting natural diseases, such as preventing ovarian cancer (linked to contracting mumps).

Note that she is a respected PhD.  Not a talk show host probably paid by Big Pharma, who formerly hosted the misogynist Man Show.

Like Dr. Suzanne Humphries, she began seeing a correlation between serious health issues after people were vaccinated.

As far as I can tell, they are still taking signatures on the White House petition against forced vaccination.

Be aware that the Health and Human Services website is taking feedback on a proposal to FORCE ADULTS to take vaccinations also.

I am not kidding. From the proposal, I’ll take this line by line.  Note how positive and slanted this “report” is towards vaccines.  That should be an immediate red flag that the writer/agency is biased and they don’t care to entertain any thoughts outside their rigid thinking:

Where’s the beef?  Show me the double blind studies by an independent researcher not tied to Big Pharma, or anyone with an interest in profiting off of vaccines that they are safe and effective.  There is too much evidence otherwise that has been denied by the CDC, even when the evidence is overwhelming, as we saw with a 700 percent increase in miscarriages by pregnant women receiving the Swine Flu (H1N1) vaccine.

However, the benefits of vaccination are not realized equally across the U.S. population.Adult vaccination rates remain low in the United States, and significant racial and ethnic disparities also exist.

Okay…answer this question for me — if I had immunizations as most children in the United States have, why would I need to have immunizations as an adult?  If the vaccines work, then I should have lifetime immunity?   I would naturally have lifetime immunity if I were allowed to have the natural disease. And for us Boomers, whom had most of the natural diseases, why would we need to have immunizations as adults?  As the paper above states, there are many benefits to natural diseases that would not require more immunizations that would  likely cause more harm.

While the NVP provides a vision for improving protection from vaccine – preventable diseases across the lifespan, vaccination coverage levels among adult are not on track to meet Healthy People 2020 targets.

The National Vaccine  Advisory Committee and numerous stakeholder groups have emphasized the need for focused attention on adult vaccines and vaccination.

Boy, I love the word “stakeholders”….it’s such a nice term for corporate money….

The National Adult Immunization Plan (NAIP) outlined here results from the recognition that progress has been slow, and there is a need for a national adult immunization strategic plan.

The word “strategic” is also an interesting choice ….war comes to mind with that word.

The NAIP is a five-year national plan. As a national plan, it will require engagement from a wide range of stakeholders to achieve its full vision. The plan emphasizes collaboration and prioritization of efforts that will have the greatest impact. The  NAIP also aims to leverage the unique opportunity presented by the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

A wide range of stakeholders:  doctors, nurses, hospitals, schools.  Emphasizes collaboration:  “You’re with us, or against us” and if you’re against us, you will lose your license, your job, and be ostracized.
Leverage the unique opportunity…the Affordable Care Act:  well…now we see why they implemented a national health care plan this way instead of Medicare for All.  The for-profit factor of including the insurance companies means corporations are more likely to get on board.

The NAIP is intended to facilitate coordinated action by federal and nonfederal partners to protect public health and achieve optimal prevention of infectious diseases and their consequences through vaccination of adults. The NAIP includes  indicators to draw attention to and track progress against core goals.

Coordinated action by federal and nonfederal partners:  get the states to mandate forced vaccination.  Use Affordable Care Act to keep track of who has had vaccines and who has not.  This is actually being implemented with actions to weaken HIPPA to make vaccine records public.  People were saying this when the Affordable Care Act was implemented.  I was hoping that they were wrong.  So was this President Obama’s goal the entire time?
Next, we have the most alarming part.  My comments in parenthesis:
These indicators will measure progress against set  standards and inform future implementation and quality improvement efforts. The plan establishes four key goals, each of which is supported by objectives and strategies to guide implementation through 2020:
Goal 1: Strengthen the adult immunization infrastructure.
(Force immunizations)
Goal 2: Improve access to adult vaccines.
(Taxpayers pay to be forcefully vaccinated)
Goal 3: Increase community demand for adult  immunizations.
(Ramp up the marketing campaigns that will include false information and scare tactics and the ever useful “everybody but YOU is doing it”.and “you’re hurting the community by refusing vaccination.)
Goal 4: Foster innovation in adult vaccine development and vaccination – related technologies
(What the hell is vaccination-related technologies??  I don’t even want to know.)

And Pfizer  wants to increase its market share of vaccinations.  That should speak volumes.

And speaking of volumes, the vaccine market netted $25 BILLION dollars last year.  Yep.  So even if they pay out $3 billion in what paltry sums the vaccine court gives them, they still make a cool $22 BILLION.  Not bad for creating an entire generation of maimed young people. **edited to add:  Wait, what am I saying?  The vaccine makers take all the profits.  They are protected by vaccine court, so again, the taxpayers are paying out mega $$$ for vaccine injury.

And they are creating a generation that did not obtain natural immunity from getting the actual disease so they could pass that immunity on to their offspring….next we’ll have the epidemics after vaccination….I can’t wait to hear what excuses the CDC and Big Pharma will use then.  Probably that people need to be vaccinated every year for every disease….
