Germany wants to charge journalists with treason

And here we go:

This is exactly what Hitler did.  As Naomi Wolf has asserted, Hitler had the laws changed so that everything he did was within the law.  It messes with people’s minds when horrible things are done….legally.  Good people want to follow the law, so they go along with this sh*t thinking they are doing it for the “common good” when they are doing it for a bunch of evil, power hungry psychopaths….

MH370 debris likely found

So, they’ve found what they believe is debris from the ill-fated flight MH370…

I was watching MSNBC and they had the guy that was a former pilot (sorry, forget his name at the moment), who has commented on this and other plane crashes.  He was asserting that if this was MH370, it is at the bottom of the ocean and there are no survivors.

So…I’m going to go out on a limb here…

I had a dream within the first couple of weeks after the crash.  In this dream, I saw the airliner at the bottom of the ocean with everyone strapped in their seats still….with the exception of three bodies that I saw float upwards…

I know it’s just a dream…but i would hope that since they found airplane debris on the island, that maybe, just maybe, there might be three survivors…and I would hope that they would at least search the island for the possibility.  Even if there were no survivors, they might be able to locate the remains of the loved ones for the families that they left behind.

Campbell Brown Plans to Explain Common Core

Mercedes Schneider has an excellent post on Campbell Brown’s hypocrisy…and that of the politicians whose own children do not attend schools with Common Core. That should speak volumes on the true educational value of Common Core. The one-percenter version of do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do…

Campbell Brown is going to help America understand what Common Core really is.

So she says as part of her July 28, 2015, interview with Jon Ward of Yahoo! Politics:

What we want to do with Common Core is explain it. Just put honesty and truth back into the debate….

I just published a book on the history, development, and promotion of Common Core, Common Core Dilemma: Who Owns Our Schools? (TC Press, June 2015), and I have news for Campbell Brown:

Common Core did not begin in “honesty and truth,” and you cannot “put back” what was not present to begin with.

If Common Core was officially completed in June 2010, why would there be confusion in 2015 over what Common Core actually is?

Simple: Common Core is yet another top-down reform; it started years before it made its 2010 public appearance, and much of the planning…

Only 18,000 sockeye expected to return to B.C.’s South Okanagan

CBC News, July 28, 2015

A potentially catastrophic collapse of the sockeye salmon run is unfolding on the Columbia River system this year.

Scientists once predicted that about 100,000 sockeye would return to spawning grounds in the rivers and streams in British Columbia’s South Okanagan region.

In fact, it was supposed to be one of the largest sockeye runs in recent history, said Okanagan Nation Alliance fish biologist Richard Bussanich.

RCMP pays out undisclosed amount for “horrifying” treatment of First Nations woman in Saskatchewan

This is utterly disgusting. It was quite obvious she was on her period and needed her underclothes to wear a pad. And not having any water is especially dangerous because a woman loses a lot of water with the beginning of her period. She could have become seriously dehydrated. They wanted to humiliate her in the most egregious way. For one, being Native and for two, being a woman.

YORKTON, SASK — A First Nations woman has won an out-of-court settlement for an undisclosed amount of money against the Yorkton RCMP for mistreatment following her arrest more than three years ago.

Ethel Pelly, 42, was arrested and charged with a drug offence in February 2012 and taken to the Yorkton holding cells.

In an interview with APTN National News, Pelly said that’s where her “horrifying” treatment at the hands of the RCMP began that started with being stripped of her underwear.

Brevard County School Board: $4 Million “improperly” paid for “undelivered” delivered software? Investigation needed…

Ken Previti's avatarReclaim Reform

Watch Brevard County School Board members Andy Ziegler and Karen Henderson engage in double-talk about paying $4 million of “improper” payment for undelivered “delivered” software. Ziegler wants to know the definition of “delivered” and then declares it a matter of “perspective.”

Has anyone called Florida’s Attorney General about this?

Here are details and source quotes from a superb summary by Darcey Addo.

Next we heard from two attorneys from Widerman Malek. They were hired to review the CrossPointe contract, the amendments, and the payments.

A summary of their findings include:

  • Millions of dollars of payments were “improper,”
  • Information should have been brought to the School Board by staff when the “contract started going sideways,” and
  • Terms of the contract were not defined before the contract was executed.

They indicated: “When we receive invoices from Crosspointe/EDR, there should have been a procedure whereby staff ensured that software had been received before initiating…

Israel threw stun grenade at 11-year-old — Human Rights Watch

A sure sign of character weakness is torturing anyone, but it is especially reprehensible at children, women, the elderly, the disabled…

Rania Khalek's avatarDispatches from the Underclass

Crossposted from The Electronic Intifada

A new report by Human Rights Watch (HRW) accuses Israeli forces of subjecting detained Palestinian children to chokeholds, beatings, strip-searches and forced confessions.

The report comes in the wake of a new law approved by Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, allowing stiffer sentences for stone-throwing. Accusations of stone-throwing are routinely used by Israeli forces as a pretext to arrest, torture, jail and even kill Palestinians without consequence.

Employing the stone-throwing allegation, Israeli forces “have choked children, thrown stun grenades at them, beaten them in custody, threatened and interrogated them without the presence of parents or lawyers, and failed to let their parents know their whereabouts,” according to HRW.

HRW documented and corroborated the experiences of four boys from East Jerusalem, aged 11, 12, and 15, as well as a 14-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy from other parts of the occupied West Bank.

RCMP tracked Toronto activists with fake Facebook profile

Guilty until proven innocent…

Zig Zag's avatarWarrior Publications

The fake RCMP Facebook account of "Bebop Aroonie." The fake RCMP Facebook account of “Bebop Aroonie.”

Mounties created bogus profile so as to reach out to protest groups from Black Lives Matter Toronto to Idle No More.

Has a waddle of penguins ever “liked” your Facebook page? If so, your account may have been monitored by the RCMP.

Officers with the national police force used a Facebook profile to pose as a broke student so as to communicate with protest groups in Toronto, according to documents obtained under the Access to Information Act.

Through the Facebook page, RCMP agents prodded organizers with seemingly innocuous questions.
