Thank you, Carol, for sharing the history that we would rather not acknowledge. The more I read Native American’s accounts of their history, the more I see what we lost as a country–their rich heritage; their sharing of everything; their spirituality and connectedness.
My own journey started with reading Wilma Pearl Mankiller’s autobiography and have read several more books. They helped me move past what I had been taught in schools.
