Indiana selling off what trees we have left

…even though Hoosiers have protested it AND A PHILANTHROPIST HAS OFFERED MORE MONEY TO NOT CUT THEM DOWN!!  Unfreakingbuhlievable!

From Hoosier Environmental Council –– the governor has accepted money to destroy more trees in Indiana.  We need to hold on to what we have — trees are life!   They give us our oxygen to breathe — we have seen an increase in asthma cases due to toxic air and the destruction of our once prolific forests.   They give us shelter from the sun.  They give us food.  They give the birds, squirrels, and raccoons, a home and food.

As long as there are abandoned buildings still standing, it should be a crime to cut down any more timber. Every tree is precious and should be seen as a valuable, life-giving resource.

I was sickened when I learned that a huge maple tree that had to be at least 200 years old, and probably older than that, was cut down from my former home.  This beautiful huge tree grew in a natural way — not cut to be picture perfect pretty.  It had a thick trunk with branches that looked like fingers reaching up to God.  Every Fall, it took me three days of raking to get all the leaves up — but I loved it.  The dead leaves aided my compost pile, giving me rich, dark earth in return.

And the people who bought my house for $30,000 below market value cut down this precious, beautiful, life-giving tree.  They also hacked off the bottoms of the row of evergreens I had planted.  I am surprised that the evergreen I had planted the first Christmas we were there hasn’t been hacked up, too.  I’m sure they’ll get to that eventually.

Roy Halladay plane crash

First, I want to say that although I used to follow baseball somewhat, I’ve kinda slacked off it, so I don’t know Roy Halladay.

However, the plane crash just raised those pesky red flags…first, the amateur video:

The first thing that leaps out is the distance from the videographer and the plane.  You really don’t know WHOSE plane that is.

Secondly, they keep saying Halladay was showboating.  Showboating is going waaay up and swooping down, like a pelican.  I am not seeing showboating when looking at this video.  As someone in the comments states, this plane is designed to land on water, so it appears that Halladay is practicing landing on the water from higher up.

Thirdly, these potty mouth idiots are just standing there VIDEOTAPING RIGHT AFTER THE CRASH instead of getting their asses in the water to see if he is still alive.   I don’t know for sure, but someone commented on yahoo’s website that the fuel used in these planes will not burn the skin like that of jetliners, so the excuse that these ball-less men did not get into the water because of chemical burns is bunk.

Fourth, and this is the biggest red flag — they don’t show the plane actually crashing.  You see it gliding over the water, and then….the potty mouth getting his mug, which he conceals, on the camera talking about the crash.  He and his “bro” appear to be over-acting, like they are trying to be younger than they are.  Just my instincts kicking in…

Fifth, they said that there were no mayday calls by Halladay.  Now his wiki page says that he did make mayday calls.  The plane does not appear to be in distress–it actually looks like it is gliding quite nicely over the waves.  Things that make you go hmmm…

Sixth, he was in Florida…it being one of the beleaguered states with the hurricanes and Morgellons, along with California and Texas.

This crash is too,too reminiscent of John Denver’s crash, and I don’t believe Denver’s crash was an accident.  Witnesses heard a boom, like there was an explosive device going off, just before the plane did a nose dive.  Denver was an experienced pilot.

And an environmentalist….which may be the reason he was killed.

So I am waiting to see what comes of Halladay’s death.  I hope that if someone knows something or saw something, they will come forward.  By all accounts, Halladay was a good man who was ethical.

NO Shooting took place at Texas Church

Richie from Boston has this up –youtube unblocked him…but then said he had violated copyright…so a lot of his content is gone.  Okay, just so you all know, copyright laws DO NOT APPLY when you use a small piece of a book, TV, radio, etc., to comment on it or offer a review.  This is part of our Communications law to allow access to information and discussion of that information.  It is CENTRAL to our being able to inform one another!

Now on to the video, which shows CLEARLY that there were no bullets, no shooting incident in Texas!!  If you have seen any of the “news” stories on it, they have been calling for gun control.  Notice the headlines — they say people are calling for more gun control  — WHO are calling for gun control?  Not I.  Not a lot of Americans.  We have woken up to what is occurring.  We have a media that creates false stories.

Walmart FEMA camps

I am constantly amazed when I can pull up my blog.  They are shutting down youtube sites left and right with no justification.  And I already know that they have a message up that my blog has been deleted by the author, which we know is false.  So I don’t know how much longer my blog will be here.  If you recall, it’s been deleted before without justification.  Be brave, my friends.  Be the porcupine against the python — fight to the end….and take them down with you!

I was like everyone else — I didn’t believe what they were saying about Walmart becoming FEMA camps…but the evidence is overwhelming.

Why is it…

…that for some of us, it takes longer to figure out what we are about and what we want to do in life…and then we’re too old to do it??

Like, I was thinking as I was driving down the road today that I had a buried adventurer spirit in me–wanting to try skiing on mountains, jumping out of airplanes, water skiing, exploring the world…but I never left my hometown until forced to by losing my home, and even then, I stayed in Indiana.

It took major cojones for me to leave Indiana, because of this fear and dread inside me.  I wondered where in the world I developed that fear — was it just intrinsic or was I raised that way?  I’ve come to believe that I was raised that way…because my sense of adventure is strong.

And when I finally did leave, I found that it caused such major upheavals that I just didn’t have the energy for it like I would have if I had left in my youth…

…but when I got my bearings in South Dakota, it was the thrill of a lifetime.  Well, the land itself was the thrill…very few people there that helped me on my journey, so that took away from what I wanted to achieve (living there permanently).

But I would never trade it for the world. 🙂

Some sadness —

The Green Hornet is no longer.  She was tired and just up and died on me when I pulled into a gentleman’s driveway.  I was going to a garage sale, of all things.  I was hoping that she was just out of gas…but alas.  There were just too many things wrong with her to attempt yet another mechanic’s bill.  I miss her.  I had her nearly fifteen years, and it was like losing an old friend.

Blizzard feb 2014

This car got me safely to South Dakota…and back again.  She was with me at Oceti Sakowin, Wounded Knee, and Bear Lodge.  Sleeping in the back seat was a thrill when I could wake up in the middle of the night and look up at the beautiful stars in the sky.  When I could not count on anything or anyone else in my life, I could count on her.  I just feel like a piece of my history is gone.  She was part of the adventure.  I was thrilled when she continued to keep plugging long after mechanics had said she was done –it was especially a thrill when one mechanic said she would not last another 20,000 miles, but she went on for another 50,000! So there.

Another part of the adventure was being on Bear Butte when a lightning storm moved in.  It just suddenly appeared as I pulled into the parking lot.  One part of me wanted to get back in the car, and the other part was egging me on to continue my usual hike up the trail….

…so I continued on.  Strangely, I was a little afraid, but also had this calmness about me as the dark clouds rolled in and the lightning began to flash.  A lady urged me back down the mountain…see the fear thing above…

I remembered my Girl Scout training to lay down flat when lightning threatens, and my thoughts went to high rock formations that would protect me.  I lay down between two tall rocks.  The lightning was all around me.  It was thrilling to lie there watching it above.  What a show!

But it was also getting dark, and I had to go down a ways before I would reach my car.  Lightning was all around me and I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t afraid.  I was– but the thrill of being right there in nature surpassed the fear.

It still sends a chill and thrill down my spine when I think of it…

…and it also made me a stronger person.  Once you face your fear and your death, you are more confident.  You know what you’re made of.

On to a curiosity–

I was taking one of many walks around the beautiful town when I come across this:

spearfish.car.stuck.side.of.creek.may.2017

Sorry for the terrible pixelating — taken from my phone to a computer and computer was not cooperating.

So this car appears to be circa 1950ish.  I wonder why it is lodged in the creek’s bank.  Did someone slide off the road above during one icy winter storm?  Did a spring flood bring the car to its resting place?  What happened to the occupants?

A mystery…

Easy pumpkin freeze

Hey all,

Thought I’d get away from the negative in the world right now and post about a wonderfully simple pumpkin preparation recipe.  Now, you can either use the pumpkin right away in pie and such, or you can freeze it for later use.

I looove that this is so simple by just popping the whole thing into the oven.

When I first tried this recipe last year, I envisioned pumpkin exploding all over the oven…

…and all it did was collapse.

It was sooo easy just peeling back the skin, and this made it easy to use every little bit of pumpkin.  Pumpkins are a great source of Vitamin A, which our immune systems need.

Enjoy!

Smart Meters causing illness

Blog here.

The arrogant attitude is appalling.  People should have a right to decide whether they want the meters or not.  It is THEIR home, not the utility company’s!

And they know that EMF’s do cause illness.  Like microwave ovens, they cook from the inside out…one can only wonder what is happening to their organs inside.

And why is *everything* being converted from analog to digital?

No more secure analog phone lines. Check.

No more secure analog televisions. Check.

No more secure analog energy meter at your home, whether you want it or not. Check.

And nobody can tell me why.  But I do know that analog signals were harder to intercept.

I also think analog cameras (like 35mm) had MUCH better, clearer pictures than the crappy digital ones.  Same with analog VCR’s.  Just my two cents.

There’s Something Happening Here… **edited

…what it is ain’t exactly clear…(For What It’s Worth –Buffalo Springfield)

(hat tip to Joanne Steen, the aussie who does really bad American imitations)

The fires in Santa Rosa are very suspicious…we have a planning commission that redlined a certain area for redevelopment, and lo and behold, that’s exactly where one of the fires started!  Amazing, isn’t it?  /snark

He makes the excellent observation that it takes a LOT to get a live tree to catch and burn like that.  Just think of a tree that someone cuts down — it has to dry out for at least a year before the wood will burn.  Anyone trying to light a green log has a very difficult time creating a fire.

They also make the excellent point that there is not a lot of dry leaves and twigs in the area, since it is residential, so there are not a lot of dry material to catch fire.

While I’m watching this, Spearfish Canyon springs to mind.  Because they acted like it was already a “done deal” when they made a show of asking for public input.   They didn’t count on 400 souls showing up and speaking passionately against the land grab.

And as I stated in my other blogs about the area — trees were disappearing at an alarming rate.  They are claiming a beetle infestation, but I don’t buy it.  I have been around awhile and I have *never* seen trees dropping like flies.

Today in California, tomorrow the rest of the U.S.   These #%&#$%!! don’t care if they destroy nature or people…as long as they can make a buck.  **removed the reference here because I’m being urged to…but I do so grudgingly…

Not only that, but I found another youtuber who talked about the many closed Wal-Farts that are putting in barbed prison-type wire, holding pens, etc., that look eerily like prisons — note the partnering with FEMA. At about 8 minutes in, the videographer notes that the San Jose Wal-Fart was along that same highway 101 in California! So is the plan that they are going to remove people to the FEMA camps if they refuse to relocate? Things that make you go hmmm….
