Study links Monsanto pesticide with gluten intolerance

You know what really bothers me about this story?  They already know that pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers destroy the immune system.  It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that multiplying the chemical is going to do more harm.

So if the immune system begins in the gut, and chemicals destroy the gut…intolerance to problematic grains is a no-brainer.

Can the USDA, FDA, or anybody with a brain and ethics in Washington do something about this? Or is money going to once again trump common sense and forward thinking of not only the present day but the future, as well…..?

Sunday reads.

The Clipper’s Donald Sterling joins with Supreme Court majority. He’s caught on TMZ audio tape saying, “Don’t let Black students into state universities. No more of that f—– affirmative action.”

Koch brothers and others influence judges to approve wage theft from teachers.

Obama rightly condemns the racism in basketball, but silent about it on the Supreme Court.

Randi Weingarten on the retirement crisis.

But, Randi.  Why isn’t this a bargaining issue with school boards? Why are we pleading with a private company, Pearson?

The Slumlord Billionairehas a healthy legal paper trail, which creates a collage of someone very good at extorting rents from the very poor. In 1986, the spiking of rents in his Beverly Hills properties—the so-called “slums of Beverly Hills”—led to a large march by tenants on City Hall.

In 2001, Sterling was sued successfully by the City of…

Wage theft is wage theft regardless of the ages of the teachers.

The legislative mandate of taking money as deferred compensation to keep it safe as a future pension while promising that it will not be there when it is needed is wage theft. Active teachers across America have this occur with every paycheck.

IL teachers pensions

Retired teachers are having their constitutionally and contractually protected payment agreements re-legislated after the legal agreement. Law suits are presently underway across America to stop both forms of wage theft. The main court battles are in Republican dominated New Jersey and Democrat dominated Illinois. To be perfectly clear, it’s not about political issues; it’s about corporate greed and control.

“The courts will decide,” according to same state legislatures who have systematically stolen from public pension funds for decades.

So, the Koch Brothers, Wal-Mart, Dow Chemical, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, and other major corporations and billionaire owners are attempting to influence the judges who will make these and similar future interpretive…

Bill Gates “explains” Common Core

Unbelievable.  Bill Gates–car salesman.  He is so full of it, that I don’t know where to even begin….

He states that these standards will allow children whom have moved to be able to pick up where they left off…again he misses the point that CHILDREN ARE INDIVIDUALS and they will either grasp a subject or not…according to where they are at in their personal development.

Gates also states that Common Core is made towards children’s development level.  Bullshit.  Utter bullshit.  You don’t teach integers, that is part of trigonometry, to grade school students!  You don’t teach the Code of Hammurabi to first graders!

He outright lies about government not dictating these standards.  Race to the Bottom guarantees that they will adopt their policies, or the schools will be denied federal dollars that were paid for by the public.

Mercedes Schneider points out more of the lies in her take on this…note the link to Indiana trying a shell game of getting rid of Common Core…but then adopting standards that are a warmed over version of Common Core.  Very disappointing to see that Glenda Ritz is going along with this charade.

Woman in Saudi Arabia gets 150 lashes for driving

I read this yesterday and can’t get it out of my mind.  Nothing is said about the reasons she was driving–was she on her way to a job interview and had no other way to get there? Was she on her way to the doctor or perhaps the hospital?  Was she escaping an abusive husband?  Did she just want to freaking drive?

I can’t imagine being flogged 150 times and what kind of permanent scars that would bring (both emotionally and physically).

In a country that goes through the motions of punishing men who abuse women, I don’t see this as setting a good example of how to treat women (note that the fine does not include flogging for him).  If the state condones violence towards women…why would a man think he did not have the state’s implicit endorsement to do the same?

All she wants are the same rights as men…to drive…to vote…to move about freely without having to have a male companion…why is that such a threat? (Yes, I know that women have been given the right to vote…if they have a male companion who approves….so yeah, not much in the way of progress there.)

Debunking geoengineering/chemtrail apologists

Dane Wigington was on a radio show talking about his research on chemtrails.  He actually has facts to back up what he says…unlike the disinformation troll, Craig Berman.

When Wigington questions his “facts” and asks him to back it up, he repeatedly avoids naming any factual data.  The most glaring example of his lack of knowledge of the 1990 Hughes Aircraft patent I blogged about here.

The particles may be seeded by dispersal from seeding aircraft; one exemplary technique may be via the jet fuel as suggested by prior work regarding the metallic particles. Once the tiny particles have been dispersed into the atmosphere, the particles may remain in suspension for up to one year. It is understood that the above-described embodiment is merely illustrative of the possible specific embodiments which may represent principles of the present invention. Other arrangements may readily be devised in accordance with these principles by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention. * * * *

It is utterly ridiculous that the folks sounding the alarm are the “leftists”.  I was laughed off of “leftist” websites for bringing up chemtrails.  Like vaccine injury, “leftists” scoff at geoengineering.  Or if they acknowledge that it is occurring, they have drunk the Gates Koolaid and believe that geoengineering is good for the climate….when by accounts of chemtrails blocking rain and holding heat in– it is doing the exact opposite.  And since when is it ever a good thing to spray heavy metals into the atmosphere?

Finally, knowing what I know about Wall Street bankers betting on folks like myself losing our homes…it would not surprise me at all that they are doing the same thing with the weather.  As the book Den of Thieves illustrated–they are greedy and will lie, cheat, and steal to make even more money.  Anyone who would make money off of taking someone’s home away from them will have no qualms about making people ill, causing drought and wildfires, and causing the destruction of the planet.

Eye Candy from Canada

More eye candy from Canada.

I was going to remark on how beautiful #2 was, but as my gaze lifted from the orange ball, I see chemtrails across the sky.  And today, I’m outside taking Pookie out for potty, and I look up–there are three chem trails sprayed in one direction and two in another, crossing over each other.  Guess where they were?   Over my sis’ house.  I looked all around the sky, and could not see any more in any direction.  Curious, eh?  Also, they were spraying every day leading up to the day I got my migraine.

Anyway, #17 is gorgeous.

And Canadians get more than their fair share of rainbows… 🙂

Obama High School and Affirmative Action

Fred Klonsky posted his viewpoint on Barack Obama College Preparatory School and Obama’s silence on a Supreme Court decision on Affirmative Action.

President Obama, however much I disagree with his education policies, is entitled to his opinion…whether it be for or against Affirmative Action.  I presume he is for it, but chose not to speak out at this particular decision.  I really don’t recall him speaking out on much regarding Supreme Court decisions— so because he’s black, he should speak out on this particular decision?

Perhaps I’m misinterpreting things…but this piece just struck me wrong.

As a side note~ Cabrini Green?  Really?  That was the housing project that was famously featured when former Chicago Mayor Jane Byrne *cough* moved in….the press was all over it…but what they forgot to tell people was that she wasn’t moving in as in moving all her household…but rather, she kinda sorta stayed there one night a week./snark

Or perhaps it was a few hours in the daytime./snarkier

Or perhaps she just drove past the place…on her way to her real home…./snarkiest

We need jobs, not eggs.  Funny how it’s been thirty years and not much has changed, eh?

Oh, wait…

Rahm builds an elite high school on this historical spot….not only do you not get jobs, but you get thrown out.
