Once again, animals are made to pay for just living their lives…and inconveniencing humans.
FDA limiting freedom of speech
Wow. Like the article says, this is just bizarre.
We’re discussing this on group, and the implications are pretty serious when you consider that one growing organic food cannot state that it is superior to Genetically modified organisms (GMO) that are not food, at all. Not in the traditional sense of nutrition for the body that nature intended.
Incredibly, on this link, the FDA is also trying to stifle free speech on any supplements claiming to help inflammation.
Given that GMO’s, which are not recognized by the body and are suspected of causing inflammation in the gut…it’s just mindboggling that something that would help people with inflammation is now subject to being muzzled. A person will not be able to find out easily what could help their inflammation.
I smell Big Pharma’s hand in this. With inflammation from GMO’s, they could make boatloads of money for a “cure”. Sociopaths.
Paige Young…another victim of Bill Cosby’s?
Sadly, things haven’t really changed since her tragic death
This story kind of gives a view of the dark side of the 60s, when women were experiencing their sexuality more openly (as opposed to the frigid 50s). They were fed this nonsense that having sex whenever and with whomever was “freeing” and “powerful” What utter crap, as Paige Young found out. Women were used and abused (and still are).
**edited 9.7.19–re-reading this today, I wonder if this was a suicide…or a murder made to look like a suicide because it sounds like she was beginning to realize how evil these men truly were and perhaps they offed her to keep her quiet about the goings-on? Just a thought…
Misty Upham died of blunt force trauma
When I read the first accounts of Misty Upham’s death, the report pretty much decided it was a suicide. The autopsy has revealed that she had died of blunt force trauma.
I read several reports on her death, and one mentioned that she was afraid of the police. She had allegedly been taunted by them while handcuffed in a police cruiser.
The fact that she is Native American speaks volumes on her treatment and the lack of aggressive investigating by the police.
It’s also interesting that at this moment, there are no large news outfits carrying the story. Why?

Freedom of the Press Foundation

‘Tis the season for giving, and here at Freedom of the Press Foundation, we have several options for those who are interested in supporting organizations dedicated transparency and accountability—all of which are fully tax-deductible in the United States.
This December, please consider giving to one of the campaigns below:
Encryption Tools for Journalists
Through our website you can donate to several great encryption tools, including Tails, Open Whisper Systems (creators of TextSecure and RedPhone), and the Tor Project. These are all free and open source tools that are respected by the information security community and help journalists and sources communicate more securely. Their ongoing development, however, is very dependent upon donations, which is why you can help make these tools better, more secure, and easier to use. You can read more about these tools here.
SecureDrop Crowd-Funding for Independent Organizations
The cost of the hardware that’s required to run SecureDrop leaves smaller independent organizations unable to afford it. That’s why we’re raising money to help four innovative organizations dedicated to transparency purchase the SecureDrop hardware. Then we’ll also help them install it for free. In our first round we have Cryptome, BalkanLeaks, Firedoglake, and the Government Accountability Project. This campaign is close to reaching its goal—you can help them get over the top by going here.
We accept donations on behalf of WikiLeaks, the publisher and media organization that came under unjust and extra-legal financial censorship in 2010 and 2011. The banking blockade against WikiLeaks was a major source of inspiration for founding Freedom of the Press Foundation. We believe in providing support to journalism organizations that have been cut off from funding through unofficial government pressure for publishing information in the public interest.
Independent journalist Nicky Hager’s home was raided by the New Zealand police and his reporting equipment was seized after writing an investigative book based on documents from an anonymous source. Please help us crowd-fund for Nicky’s legal defense and send a message the New Zealand government that journalists’ homes should be off-limits.
SecureDrop is an open-source whistleblower submission system that media organizations can use to securely accept documents from anonymous sources. We’ve been managing its development since late 2013, and have hired two full-time employees on the project. It’s now in operation in over 15 newsrooms. We’re also working on a new version release, while trying to keep up with the demand from people who need our help installing it. Your donation will go a long way to ensure that SecureDrop remains state-of-the-art and employed in as many newsrooms as possible.
Freedom of the Press Foundation
We’re a small non-profit organization with a mission to bring the First Amendment into the 21st century. If you donate to us directly it will help us cover operational expenses, expand and hire new staff, while also managing the SecureDrop project, and encouraging greater use of encryption and security practices by journalists, sources and news organizations around the world. With your help, next year we can do even more.

Rochester, NY, Parents: Say No to a Charter Founded by a Con Man
“I couldn’t graduate from regular school because I’m just too, too advanced…” Perhaps he had an undiagnosed ADD condition and couldn’t focus long enough to learn anything. Or perhaps he’s just an outright huckster. Whatever the reason, he has not shown a good reason to be in charge of educating children. If I were a parent in that school system, I would be protesting this decision.

Dear Parents of Rochester, New York:
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the New York State Board of Regents have approved a charter school to be opened in your community in September 2015: The Greater Works Charter School (GWCS).
GWCS lead applicant Ted J. Morris, Jr.– the man chiefly promoting the project– has been found multiple times over to be a fraud.
He lied about his high school graduation from Rochester’s School Without Walls.
He lied about graduating with a bachelors degree from Western Governors University.
He lied about attending and graduating with a masters and doctorate from Concordia University Chicago.
He lied about graduating with a doctorate from Grand Canyon University.
And watch here to see Morris lying in person on Rochester television.
In the Democrat and Chronicle, Morris described himself as being “too advanced” for the traditional classroom:
“I remember being in school and feeling I was…

Alberta pipeline spills 60,000 litres of crude oil into muskeg
“…the report says there was no impact on wildlife…”
Ahem. One cannot spill 60k litres of crude oil onto the Earth without it impacting wildlife. What utter bullsh*t. Clearly, Canadian Press is a PR firm for Big Oil.
Burnaby wants Kinder Morgan to pay for Burnaby Mountain policing costs
Why is it that oil companies have plenty of money to throw at politicians, but suddenly develop “empty pockets” when the bills for their transgressions comes due?
