Okay, I can’t find the Weather Window pics on the Global News site, so either they didn’t do one for this week, or I missed it somehow.
Never fear, Fig Jam and Lime Cordial has a nice blog up on the birds in Australia.
Enjoy.

This week’s eye candy from Canada.
#2 is breathtaking. Can you imagine this being gone due to fracking or polluted with bitumen from a leak in tar sands pipeline, a la Kalamazoo?
Another beautiful rainbow on #3.
#9 talk about spoiling an otherwise gorgeous picture…same with #11.
Otherwise, great pics…
On to lighter subjects…
Wonderful pictures this week from Canada. #1 and 3 are just absolutely stunning. Wouldn’t you just love to stand under that waterfall? And, of course, I love the pic of the rainbow. 🙂
Bless the orcas at #18. Their joy is evident.
Enjoy.
Wow, there are some stunning photos this week from Canadian photographers–
Love the almost mystical quality of #4 and the old boat at #8 (I could think up a good ghost story with that picture alone…); and #17 -look at all the life this dead tree has given..a host for new life to begin again…
(this song was on my mind when I named this blog, fyi 🙂
We were treated to another spectacular cloud rainbow...
…this time, however, I was able to get a little bit of it captured with my cell camera. It was almost directly in line with our front door:
It’s a little hard to distinguish, but the little patch that looks white is actually the splash of rainbow. The sun was not cooperating. I was trying to block the lens from glare, but alas…
Anyway, I think the sun’s rays are pretty spectacular, too.
This week’s weather window has some absolutely stunning photos of winter serenity…although there is one photo of what looks like a mining operation…so yeah, color me confused….
This week’s photos of Canada. Note the chemtrail in #17…an otherwise beautiful photo spoiled by chemicals….
B&B blog has this up. Poignant.
So….I was out running an errand this afternoon, about an hour before sunset. It’s been so cold that 45 degrees felt like Spring and with the sun shining, the day kind of had that feel to it. As I head back, I have to stop up a slope to get on the main road. As I approached, I looked up and saw the most awesome sight–this tiny patch of a rainbow in the clouds! I sat there in wonder at it…I don’t recall ever seeing such a sight ever.
And no camera.
But, never fear, someone else has seen one, too, and posted on this blog. The one I saw was more dramatic, in that it was right in front of me. It was like someone took a paint brush to the cloud.
