Fort Wayne is on Fire
Another police shooting—the fourth in four months–of a Fort Wayne citizen: indianasnewscenter.com/news/local/Mayor-Henry-on-205796441.html
This isn’t even counting the ones shooting each other. You know it’s bad when California sits up and takes notice….as they did with the third shooting just a few days ago…
The news reported that the latest shooter “should not have had access to a gun with his prior history…” It left out the details about why this person should not have had a gun….but since he claimed to be Jesus and just randomly started shooting people (rather than a specific target), I would guess mental issues. And yes, I would wonder about the chem trails and the toxic environment of FW–they had terrible air quality last year on many, many days. And this shows air quality is once again questionable. All I can say is that I notice a change in people’s behavior when there has been heavy chem trail spraying and when the air quality is already bad. I know that when I tried jogging in the A.M. on bad air quality days, I started wheezing afterwards. Not good.
Here’s another map showing particulate matter as being moderately high. This is not good, either, as particulate is known to be the cause for health conditions–scientists just don’t know how it affects health, only that it does affect heart, lungs, and brain health.
FDA drops the ball…so what else is new?
(As I first started reading this, I thought of a pun with the title: “Something’s fishy” but PR Watch beat me to it in their write up. Heh.)
(So…I’ll have to settle for the boring title of FDA drops the ball…so what else is new?)
Note in the comments section the paid flack who attacks the article not based on facts, but wild accusations….um-hmmm…
There are a million souls who do not want frankenfish. (and probably millions more would be protesting if they only knew what was going on) .
What does it take for American citizens to be heard? And why is this garbage science of Genetically Modified organisms released without a) thorough testing by independent research labs with no financial/political gain; b) without follow-up by independent research to investigate the damage that they have caused; and c) why isn’t the entire ecological system considered when making these decisions…?
Finding good food
This website makes it easier in finding organic and sustainable farms. However, I would caution you that just because someone claims to be organic doesn’t necessarily mean they have their hearts in it. I know of at least one farm listed here that they were burning asphalt roof tiles, along with plastics and other stuff that you shouldn’t…a half – block away from the organic fields. They also sprayed weedkiller on gravel that was next to the growing field. Yep. That’s not something someone casually shopping would know….so it helps to know the folks you’re dealing with or someone who works for them, but this website is a good start.
I’ve tried to go online to look for local free range egg farmers, but came up empty. There was one website that was called “farmer’s friend, but there was nothing even in Allen County (FW), where I knew they had free range eggs….<sigh>…it doesn’t do one a whole lot of good if you’re not going to put information on the website for customers.
Hope this helps anyone looking for locally grown food.
Some good news
The poster that I blogged about here is apparently okay, as s/he is posting again. Perhaps didn’t see the post asking if s/he was okay. Some good news for a change…and yes, we have lost people to suicide in this group…I posted about one a while ago, but it has been lost. <sigh> She was mercury toxic, without a job, money, or health insurance, and living out of a car. She took her life in her despair.
Meanwhile….corporations get welfare while they ponder cutting Medicare, Social Security, and food stamps….
Your community score card
I found this website that informs the public of the toxins in their area and who is doing the polluting. A good resource to see what’s happening in your area and the pollution around you that is likely responsible for health issues. (hat tip to Rodale website).

Fighting efforts to save the bees
PR Watch has this up on Bayer and Syngenta’s trying to stop efforts to save the bees : HTTP://WWW.PRWATCH.ORG/NODE/12066
(for some reason, my “link” feature is not working on my blog. Also–I clicked on one of my links yesterday, and now they have ads–I have nothing to do with them, and I’m certainly not being compensated for them advertising with my blog. FYI.)
From the article:
The response of Bayer and Syngenta was to unleash a barrage of letters to the food safety agency and the European Commission, followed later by threatened lawsuits.
~~~~~~~
This is the heart of the matter—Too Big To Fails can quash efforts against them or their interests just by simply litigating their way out of it., a la Monsanto. They don’t even have to win, but keep their opponents fighting in courts to bankrupt them. Empty what little they may have in their bank accounts, and voila! no more opposition….
I think we lost one
A poster on the mercury poisoning support group had posted an alarming letter–s/he was talking about being depressed and not seeing beyond the depression fog that goes with this horrible poison’s effects.
That was April 6th. I first replied that what the poster was experiencing was typical of heavy metal poisoning and that most of us have been *there*. I begged her/him not to give up.
When the poster did not reply to any of us (several of us replied trying to help the poster see beyond the immediate feelings of despair), I tried again and asked the poster to let us know that s/he was okay.
No reply. No response at all. I’m afraid that this horrible poison has taken another life. Shit.
(I’m hoping that they’re still there, but not able to post at this time.)
Ginger and Dandelion
As you all know, I’m very interested in nature and the wonders of healing of natural plants.
One of the super plants, or roots, I should say, is ginger. This website goes over the phenomenol benefits of ginger. I knew of its anti-nausea benefits, but was amazed at all the other benefits such as cancer fighter. And that it has a balancing effect–in the gut, it encourages the good bacteria and destroys the bad bacteria. Amazing, isn’t it? More here.
Another superfood is the poor, misunderstood Dandelion. Yes, that yellow flower that homeowners try their best to eradicate has many benefits–one of which is a great detoxe and is loaded with natural Vitamin C. (a side note~ I’ve read in several different sources that synthetic Vitamin C is not good for us. I’ve since stopped taking the synthetic form and now only get my Vitamin C from natural sources. A head’s up: dandelion does irritate the liver, according to Dr. Cutler. But is great for the kidneys.
It think that when it’s all said and done, the world will discover that the plants we regarded as “weeds” were the magical plants that cured cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc. It is a great irony that we are pouring chemical herbicides on these plants that offer great health benefits. We poison the Earth and kill the very thing that might just save us.
