A few days ago the principal at Blaine elementary school on the City’s north side blasted Rahm Emanuel as a bully.

First with a piece on the op-ed page of the Sun-Times.

Then with a blistering appearance on WTTW’s Chicago Tonight.

In the Sun-Times’ piece Troy A. LaRaviere wrote, “I did not travel across an ocean and risk my life to defend American freedoms only to return and relinquish those freedoms to an elected official and his appointed board of education.”

Damn.

In response Rahm’s political adviser John Kupper attacked the Sun-Times for publishing the op-ed piece and then attacked the President of the Chicago Principal and Administrators Association for being a union shill.

Dept. of Defense…against Zombies…

…well, here we go again with the “plan” that won’t die. Pun intended.

You might recall this is an old scenario bordering on ridiculous.  I can’t believe the money spent.

 

The report is short on details–who were the sponsors that paid for this?  If the attendees only paid $1,000 to go, who paid for their hotel rooms? Meals? Flight tickets? Rental cars? Lots of questions here, not a lot of answers.

Nor can I believe the concept that one can kill the undead…how does one do that, anyway?

What they really need are un – brain -dead Dept. of Defense employees who quit looking at life as one big disaster waiting to happen.  And that the American public is the enemy–guilty until proven innocent.

Miley Cyrus, Celebrity Rapist?

Wow. Given Miley Cyrus’ endorsement of the rape song “Blurred Lines”… I think the author is spot on. I hope that if there are victims out there–that they will come forward, regardless of Miley Cyrus’ status.

Here’s what she said:

“You know, everyone’s a little bit gay,” she told the crowd. “It’s the truth. Everyone’s gay, all it takes is one cocktail. And if that doesn’t work, sprinkle something in their drink. That’s what I always do.”

Publications like The Guardian are giving her tremendous benefit of the doubt, proactively providing her a defense by calling it a “joke.”  I’m not willing to extend that benefit without more.

What she said, what she literally said, is that people should use alcohol to get people to have sex with them, who otherwise would not do so — and that if they doesn’t work, they should drug the drinks.  And she said she does that herself.  She didn’t say she did it once.  She said that’s what she “always” does.

I will not assume this is a joke.  Serial rapists target people they know…
