You know I don’t claim to be an economics whiz, but I’ve been exploring this trying to understand what is going on.  Max Keiser is pushing bitcoin very heavily with his own startup.  Something didn’t feel right as I listened to his promoting startcoin and how wonderful it is.

I went to the bank of the future website which had a link to the bitcoin page.  Bill Gates is recommending it.  Huge red flag there.  It also quotes Ben Bernanke, a disciple of Milton Friedman and the Chicago school of Economics which Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and now Obama have followed.  It’s wealth without ethics.  Libertarian thinking that wants to privatize everything and charge people for living (not exaggerating if you believe that geoengineering is about manipulating the weather to make a profit off of governments, i.e., the public, so there won’t be droughts, floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes.)

An electronic “coin” is not something you hold in your hand.  It relies on computers that will correctly put your money where you want it to go.  We all know how computers can and have been hacked.

Secondly, it depends on people being honest.  Honesty is in short supply nowadays with people lying to achieve their own ends.  The ends justifies the means.  Just because someone says they will put $$ in your account, does not mean that they will.  It depends on a human being programming a computer to do what it is told, and if it does not, having a human being correct the computer.

It also means at some point in time, that there will be a human being along the line that will add or subtract coins according to your wishes.

That is giving waaay too much power to individuals that you cannot see in real time, know them (like you would know people at your local bank), and if all else fails, be able to walk to your bank and withdraw money.  You are at their mercy.

So…yeah, I’ve grave concerns about bitcoin and now about Max Keiser promoting it and blaming Germany for everything happening in Greece.  I have to ask “why”?

…well, after the heavy stuff this week, I thought I’d share a couple of funny things today:

–There’s a call-in show on the local radio station where folks can trade or sell stuff they don’t want.  They also call in for urgent announcements.  Today, a lady called in with a missing pet.  She went on to describe it as, I believe she said, a shih-tzu.  Then the host ask for the dog’s name.  Guess, just guess the name.

Bruiser.

Hahahahaha.  Cracked me up.

…in a week where my brain has had the equivalent of a mental freight train of such evil…there was a very happy note today.

Those of you who’ve been around awhile might recall I lost a lot of creative ability with the mercury/heavy metal poisoning.  Specifically, losing the ability to sew and to play the piano.

I had played since I was five and could sit down and play “Classical Gas” any time I visited my Mom’s.

However, there came the time (after I had the amalgams placed) when I sat down to play…and could not remember the notes.  I just figured it was from not playing…but I had always been able to play that song at the drop of a hat.  It came so easy that I thought playing the piano was nothing to it.

However, with my brain malfunctioning, I could not coordinate the notes on the page with the keys on the piano.  My memory was so severely affected that I could not remember which note corresponded with the keyboard even though I had just played the tune the day before.  This was not like me at all.  I had also forgotten what each note represented in beats.  Just like a child,  I had a paper guide that my mother used to teach piano on the keyboard because I could not remember the notes.

A first breakthrough was when “Lean On Me” just popped into my head one day.  Given that I could not remember notes or even remember playing the song when I was younger, it was nothing less than a miracle.  I just played.

But that was all I could play for years.

Well…today was a breakthrough.

I got out a book that I played as a child, and found a Minuet by Bach and decided to try it.  I had taken off the cardboard guide and just played.  And I remembered the notes and what key they corresponded with.  I played the song pretty well for a first time trying.  I’m a little stunned that it has come back.  I really had my doubts that it would come back after sooo much time had lapsed.

It’s with the keys immediately connected with Center “C”  the middle of the keyboard, and I still have to reacquaint myself with the rest of the keyboard, but wow, I’m so hopeful that it will come back with chelation of the heavy metals and with time.

A wonderful moment.  I am so grateful.

I would love to tour “Abandoned NYC”…but this particular tour? I think I’d pass.  I see an old 7UP bottle from the sixties.  And the witch carrying the pumpkin candle is something we had in the 70s, I believe.  I think it was sold through candle sales that were popular at that time to raise funds for scout troops/band.  There’s been some “water under the bridge” since then, but if memory serves…

Loved this song when it came out and saw they had it on VEVO.  When I first heard it, I thought it was about a first love relationship and how he was scared of being vulnerable to her….but then I realized it was about abortion.  At least, that is how I’m reading it.

It tells the story behind abortion of how it’s not just “some group of cells” (a feminist described as such) that one sweeps from your life — never to be bothered with another thought on it.

“….as weeks went by…it showed that she was not fine…” 

…the realization that it was not so easy to sweep away.

I first heard of abortion regret in college during a composition class, when I read Linda Bird Francke’s essay on her abortion and the lingering feeling of loss for years afterwards.  She thought of the child often after the abortion–seeing a “ghost on the horizon”.  I had never heard of abortion regret from abortion advocates.
