More creepy songs:  “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond.  After he said he wrote it for Caroline Kennedy when she was a little girl, the song is pathological.

Another song from my teenage years that I used to like until I heard it again as a mature adult, and the song “Claire” by Gilbert O’Sullivan gives me the creeps to no end.

When I first heard this in the 70s, I thought it was about a guy singing to a girl that he was DATING.  Only when as an adult did I realize he was singing to a LITTLE GIRL!!  You have to listen to the way he sings it to know that this guy is a perv.
